Lakeside Christian Child Care Center
The Lakeside Child Care Center (LCCC) will use Lakeside United Methodist (LUMC) Church facilities formerly occupied by the Children’s Center for Discovery. According to Pastor Ken McDonald, the new Center realizes a Church vision that has taken fifteen years to fully develop. The congregation is jubilant about being able to offer a Christian environment in which to nurture and care for children in the Waldorf community.
Lakeside UMC Opens Daycare June 16th, 2008
FUN & Christian Education Children are going to go nuts over the new playground! Inside the updated facilities, the new Child Care Center will use the “A Beka Book” approach to Christian education. This will keep learning lively, interesting, and memorable. The A Beka program reflects a sensible, practical approach to child development that includes age-appropriate Christian values. The A Beka program has a great reputation and has been developed over the past 50 years in actual classroom use at the Pensacola Christian Academy , one of America’s largest and most respected Christian day schools. Programs The Center will offer separate services for infants, toddlers, 2 year olds, 3 year olds, and pre-schoolers. Before and After-school programs will also be offered for children through 5th grade. A full summer camp program and associated activities are in the works. |
